Behind The Music – Producers In The Spotlight

Behind The Music – Producers In The Spotlight

Ever wonder who the people behind your favorite music were? Scope out these Hip Hop producers as we put them in the spotlight:

  1. DJ Mustard :  He got his start in DJing at a young 11 years old and now has left his mark in the hip hop world. He worked his way up by DJing at club events but made a name for himself by adding his own style into the music. Having worked with a lot of top dogs in the music industry like Tyga, T-Raww, YG,  2 Chainz, Nipsey Hussle, and Ludacris he is notorious for cooking up hits.
  2. Clams Casino : No one can deny that this unique producer from New Jersey is less than powerful when making music. He has been respondsible for putting his creative ideas in projects for A$AP Rocky, Mac Miller, The Weeknd, and Mobb Deep.
  3. Mike WiLLMadeIt: The amount of radio hits this producer has created is almost as impressive as the number of big time artists he has worked with. This is the man behind a large portion of imfamous Miley Cyrus’s music and has also worked with artists Juicy J, Rihanna, Ciara, Ace Hood, and 2 Chainz. If that weren’t enough to have on his resume, Mike WiLL also produced “Beach is Better” on Jay-z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail.
  4. Chuck Inglish: Known for his smooth beats, Mr. Inglish has worked with mainstream artists like Rick Ross, but is predominantly known in the indie rap market. Check out his soundcloud here.

Ahh, yes. Wale. One of our favorite underestimated rappers. This MMG artist recently released LoveHate Thing off his upcoming The Gifted album, due June 25 (pre-order that thang here). As we were listening, we caught some very relatable bars and wanted to point them out to you.

“They gon’ love you a little different when you at the top.” @ the 1:33 mark

“As you’re reaching your goals, you gon’ meet you some foes.” @ the 2:26 mark

I lost a lot of friends, and they ain’t even dead/ When I was on my way up, why you ain’t see the stairs” @ the 2:43 mark

“It’s rare when I’m anywhere with too many heads” @ the 2:53 mark

Matter of fact, we should listen to Wale — he’s giving us game! Work hard and keep going, even when life throws obstacles your way.

Enough preaching. Listen below.
