Beyonce shocked the world when she released her self-titled visual album on Friday, December 13 — now the 32 year old superstar shows us her more vulnerable side.
“Now I’m in my 30s, and those children that grew up listening to me have grown up, and I always felt like it was my responsibility to be aware of kids and their parents and all these generations,” explains Bey. “And I felt like it stifled me. I felt like, in a sense, I could not express everything.”
One of the songs that showcases this, is Rocket, a song co-written with Justin Timberlake and Miguel, with production by Timbo.
In this 5-minute clip, you see her in the studio recording Rocket, and receiving praise from Pharrell, & Timbaland, meanwhile Timberlake says, “There’s something wrong with you.”
She explains that the younger Bey wouldn’t have the confidence to record that. “I kinda dropped that fourth wall and I did it,” she says.
More importantly, Bey relates to us women. Be blown away below.Readmore
