Taylor Swift’s “Red” Sells 4 Million Singles in One Day

There’s no doubt that Taylor Swift has loyal and supportive fans. In fact, they proved that notion this morning. The Pop singer’s Red album dropped yesterday, and has already sold 4 million tracks off the album on itunes. Imagine what her first week’s sells are going to look like?

Earlier today Good Morning America was a little confused about the numbers and tweeted:

Taylor Swift’s new album #RED has only been out for a day and has already sold over 4 million copies. #TaylorOnGMA

Tracks off the album, not album sells. Brian Mansfield, a USA Today correspondent for Nashville, Tennessee quickly clarified.

Quick reality check: @taylorswift13 has already sold 4 million tracks from #Red, not 4 million copies of the album. Give the girl some time.
