Kelis responds to Nas’ “Life is Good” cover art
In a recent interview with NME, at the Isle of Wight Festival, Kelis opens up about her ex husband’s cover art of Life Is Good.
“My feelings about it aren’t really relevant, but at the end of the day, Nas is an artist and for whatever it’s worth he’s one of the greatest. specially for what it is that he does. So for me, I feel like, specially for someone in Hip-Hop, to really kind of be genuine and honest? Whatever the honesty may be about – I think that’s awesome”
She also spoke about how she’s been staying busy, performing at festivals 4 times a week, and mentioned that her upcoming album is half way done, which will sound a little more electro-ish than what we’ve heard before.
