Lupe Fiasco expresses his anger toward Pete Rock
Earlier this week Lupe Fiasco dropped Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free) off his upcoming Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Part I and Part II project — which contains the same Tom Scott sample used in Pete Rock & CL Smooth’s classic, T.R.O.Y.
Long story short, Pete Rock wasn’t happy with it… but then Lupe and Pete Rock talked and worked everything out.
Well, not exactly… earlier today, Lupe called #SwayInTheMorning to tell his side of angry the story.
1. Lupe DID get clearance on the record from the label.
2. Pete Rock wasn’t suppose to tweet about their “epic” homage to Troy and Heavy D.
3. Unfortunately, the situation hasn’t been resolved yet.
